MY BEST HEAVENLY FRIEND

I started writing this song on Tuesday 4/11/25

I had this thought about how we live by faith and we cannot see the spiritual world and have to imagine it, however it is true. I wanted a song to convey that truth, and give us confidence as children of God.

On Wednesday 5/11/25 I wrote the chorus and verse, and it came quite easily which happens when God's inspiration hits me. I wrote this while spending time with my 85 year old dad who is struggling with life. He is a testament of spiritual battles. When I was 7 years old dad was converted after God gave him a vision of His power and protection, and ever since he has been a loyal follower of Jesus.

My wife looked the lyrics and said it would be a great kids song. So I simplified the lyrics, and made it a fun kids song.

On the fourth Suno creation I hit the jackpot. I've never had a result so quickly. Thank you Jesus.

On Thursday 6/11/25, my daughter gave me feedback that she wasn't sure about the last line of the chorus being "Than be as miserable as them". I guess she's right so I changed it to "With my best heavenly friend."

I also added the verse, which I love.

Imagine I would live forever

I could explore the universe

I'd zoom around at light speed

And visit people from other worlds

One day I'll have a million candles

on my birthday cake

And it'll take a week to blow them out

But wouldn't the party be great

Then my wife suggested that the song states that Christianity is just your imagination, so I changed the last chorus to make it a reality.

The Bible says it's real,

People tell me it's a lie

'There is no God" they said

I know he's real, and I'd rather live life

With my awesomely, fantabulous, best heavenly friend.

It took 50 Suno generations to get the final song.

Finished on 6/11/25

On 11/11/25 I listened to it again, and I realised the verses needed fine tuning and the chorus even better. I'm glad I did because it is so much better now. I slowed it down 5% and it's not as rushed.

Another 28 Suno renders to get the result.

My dad passed away on 12/11/25. I'm glad God gave me a happy song during this time, it really did cheer me up.
