The ground has always been under my feet

I've roamed the whole world, I've walked every street

There must be more, but I've seen everything 

And then God found me and gave me my wings.

I extend my wings, I want to fly

I push real hard, and though I try

They're not strong to get airborne 

Then God said "Glide off a mountain."

But the mountain's real high

And the ocean's below

Can I trust my wings?

I'll never know

Unless I dive off

By overcoming my fears

To become 

who God made me to be.

I want to soar up high 

And fly

Be free

Touch the sky

So I can be 

Closer to my 

Jesus 

I want to fly

I'm high on the cliff, the winds blowing a gale

I look over the edge, and I am afraid

The eagles are calling me from the clouds

But I’m frozen in fear and stuck on the ground

But the mountain's real high

And the ocean's below

Can I trust my wings?

I'll never know

Unless I dive off

By overcoming my fears

To become

who God made me to be.
